FAQs

Short answers to what we get asked most. If yours is not here, ask us — we would rather answer than have you guess.

Ordering and delivery

Where do you deliver?

Door to door across all nine South African provinces — Western Cape, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, Free State, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West and Northern Cape — or to a Courier Guy locker near you. Frozen raw food is the exception: greater Cape Town only.

What does delivery cost?

Free door delivery on orders of R600 and over. Under R600 it is R60 to your door, or R50 to a Courier Guy locker. Frozen items carry a separate R130 refrigerated delivery fee. No surprise surcharges at checkout.

How long does it take?

Orders are dispatched within one business day. Once dispatched, most orders reach main centres within 3–4 business days, and regional areas usually need a day or two more. Orders placed over a weekend or public holiday are dispatched on the next business day. Delivery times are courier estimates rather than guaranteed dates. Full detail is on Delivery & Shipping.

How do I track my order?

Tracking details are emailed as soon as your order leaves us. See Track My Order.

The products

What do you actually sell?

Natural, largely single-ingredient dog treats and chews, plus air-dried food. Everything currently on the shelf is made by Pets Elite in Cape Town. We are assessing beds, bowls, supplements and outdoor gear against the same standard set out in Our Promise, and anything that clears it will appear here.

Is it really single ingredient?

For most of the range, yes — and the full ingredient list is published on every product page. Where a product contains more than meat and vinegar, a colourant for instance, we flag it on that product's own listing rather than bury it.

How should I store it?

In a sealed container, somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sun. Air-dried product is shelf stable and needs no refrigeration, but it will draw moisture from a humid kitchen once opened.

How much should I give?

Treats and chews should stay under roughly 10% of what your dog eats in a day. The rest is covered in the Feeding Guides.

Which chew suits my dog?

Match the hardness to the chewer: gentle for puppies, seniors and light chewers, medium for most adult dogs, and tough for determined power chewers. The wellness quiz takes about a minute.

Can I leave my dog alone with a chew?

No. Supervise every chew, every time, with fresh water alongside, and take it away once it is small enough to swallow whole. The end of a chew is where the choking risk lives.

My dog reacts to beef or chicken. What now?

Start with a protein your dog has never eaten — see Novel Proteins — and introduce one at a time. If your dog has a diagnosed condition, speak to your vet before changing anything. We sell food; we do not diagnose.

Do you sell cat food?

Not yet. It is on the list.

Payment, returns and account

How can I pay?

See Payment Options.

Can I return something?

Yes, within limits — food is a consumable, so unopened packs are treated differently to opened ones. See Returns & Refunds.

Do you have a rewards programme?

Yes — Paw Points. You earn 5% of every order back as credit towards your next one: spend R500 and you have R25 waiting. You earn from your first order even if you check out as a guest; you only need an account to spend it. How Paw Points works.

Do you supply shelters, rescues or trade customers?

We work with South African shelters and rescues on stock donations and support — read more or get in touch.
