Which size?

• Small (dogs up to about 12 kg): 2 kg of food. A 10 kg dog eats about 70 g a day.
• Medium (about 12–25 kg): 4 kg of food. A 20 kg dog eats about 140 g a day.
• Large (25 kg and up): 6 kg of food. A 30 kg dog eats about 210 g a day. Bigger dogs will get through it sooner.

Active dogs may need more and quieter dogs less. Adjust to your dog's condition.

Chicken or beef?

Just like on the plane, you get to choose. Every Switch Box comes with a free 500 ml Pets Elite gravy topper, in beef or chicken. Both are pork-free. A splash on top tempts fussy eaters in the first week.

Why dehydrated raw

Raw feeding usually means freezer space and a delivery window. Pets Elite dehydrates its raw recipe at low temperature, so it ships anywhere in South Africa, stores in the cupboard and is served as it comes, straight from the box. Grain-free, with no wheat and no fillers.

How to switch

Change over gradually across seven to ten days, mixing a little more of the new food into the old each day. Serve it straight from the box and always keep fresh water available. The full day-by-day plan is in our 30-Day Switch Guide.

Because the first week or so is mixed with your dog's current food, your first box will usually last a little longer than 30 days.

Safe handling

This is raw food. Wash hands, bowls and scoops after feeding, and store it sealed in a cool, dry place.

Raw feeding isn’t right for every dog or home. Check with your vet first for very young puppies, dogs recovering from gut surgery or with weakened immunity, or homes with infants, elderly or immunocompromised people.
