Why we stock it
Almost everything sold as an "Achilles chew" is tendon alone. This is the whole Achilles tendon with a section of heel bone still attached, which makes it denser, slower to get through, and gives that primal flavour burst dogs go wild for. It is the chew we reach for when a dog finishes an ordinary tendon in four minutes — a serious, satisfying challenge that lasts. It is a hard chew and not for every dog: puppies, older dogs with worn teeth and any dog with dental damage should have something softer.
What it is
100% raw, dehydrated beef Achilles tendon with partial heel bone — single ingredient, nothing else. Gently dehydrated at low temperature, without cooking, and naturally preserved with vinegar during dehydration. No grains, salts, sugars, colourants or artificial preservatives. Pieces vary naturally in size, colour and shape (roughly 100mm long by 30mm wide), because real treats come straight from nature. Available in packs of 4, 5 or 10.
Chew strength: 4–5 of 5 (hard to very hard)
On our scale from 1 (very soft) to 5 (very hard), this sits at the top. Perfect for power chewers and dogs who crave a long, engaging challenge — it keeps tough chewers busy and mentally stimulated, which helps curb boredom and destructive habits.
What it does for your dog
- Long-lasting chew — a tough, fibrous texture that takes time to work through.
Ingredients
100% beef Achilles tendon with partial heel bone (dehydrated). Vinegar is used during dehydration as a natural preservative.
What's in the pack
Your choice of 4, 5 or 10 beef Achilles tendon chews, each with partial heel bone attached.
Feeding and use
Give under supervision, with fresh water alongside. Take it away once it is small enough to swallow whole. Treats and chews should stay under about 10% of daily intake.
Suited to
- Determined chewers who finish a tendon in minutes
- Medium and large breeds
- Dogs on a single-protein or grain-free diet
- Dogs who like a long, hard chew
Not suited to
- Puppies and dogs with milk teeth
- Older dogs with worn or damaged teeth
- Dogs who have fractured a tooth on a hard chew before
- Unsupervised chewing
Safety
Hard chews can fracture teeth. If your dog has had dental work, or is the sort to try to swallow a chew whole, choose something softer. Always supervise, and take the piece away when it gets small.
