Why we stock it
Not the same product as the Jerky Flats, despite the similar name and shape — this one is made from beef spleen (milt), an organ cut, which gives it a noticeably softer bite at 2 to 3 of 5 rather than the tougher, more sinewy texture of an esophagus chew. A gentler option if the Jerky Flats are too firm for your dog.
What it is
Beef spleen (milt), dried into flat biltong-style pieces and preserved with vinegar. Softer than the Jerky Flats range. Rates 2 to 3 of 5 on the Pets Elite chewyness scale. Available in packs of 20 (Large or Small) or a 120g bulk bag.
Ingredients
Beef (spleen/milt), vinegar.
Vinegar is used during dehydration as a natural preservative. No grain, no added salt or sugar, no colourants or flavourants.
Feeding and use
Give under supervision, with fresh water alongside. Take it away once it is small enough to swallow whole. Chews and treats should stay under about 10% of what your dog eats in a day.
