Pets Elite Doggy Crisps
Why we stock it
These are for the dog who sits next to you while you eat crisps. Pork skin cut thin and dried until it shatters — none of the salt, oil or starch that makes the human version a bad idea to share. They are not a chew and they are not a meal; they are a handful of something crunchy. Fat content is naturally higher than a lean chew, so count them in.
What it is
Real pork skin cut into crisp-style pieces and dried until light and brittle. 250g a pack. Chewyness varies from 2 to 4 across the pack depending on how thick each piece happened to be, so some shatter and some need a chew.
Ingredients
Pork (skin/rind), vinegar.
Vinegar is used during dehydration as a natural preservative. No grain, no added salt or sugar, no colourants or flavourants.
Feeding and use
A small handful as a treat. Treats should stay under about 10% of daily intake, and these are rich. Fresh water alongside.
Suited to
- Training rewards where you want something high value
- Dogs of any size
- Sharing a moment without sharing your crisps
Not suited to
- Dogs on a low-fat diet or with a history of pancreatitis
- Dogs on a pork-free elimination diet
- Anyone looking for a long-lasting chew
Safety
Pork skin is naturally fatty. Introduce slowly for a dog with a sensitive stomach, and avoid entirely where there is any history of pancreatitis.
