Pets Elite Filled Miniature Pig Ears
Why we stock it
Worth being precise about what this is: pork rind folded into an ear shape, not an actual pig ear. It is shaped rind with a strip of beef jerky tucked between the layers. That construction is why it rates a 4 for hardness while a real ear rates a 3 — the folding makes it dense. Contains both pork and beef, so it rules out dogs avoiding either.
What it is
Natural pork rind folded into a miniature ear shape, with a strip of Pets Elite beef jerky between the layers. Six to a pack, roughly 130g in total. Rind is about 4 to 5mm thick. Rates 4 of 5 on the Pets Elite chewyness scale — hard.
Ingredients
Pork, beef, vinegar.
Official ingredient line supplied by Pets Elite. Vinegar is used during dehydration as a natural preservative. No grain, no added salt or sugar, no colourants or flavourants.
Feeding and use
Give under supervision, with fresh water alongside. Take it away once it is small enough to swallow whole. Chews and treats should stay under about 10% of what your dog eats in a day.
Suited to
- Dogs who want something to work at
- Medium and large breeds
- Dogs who like a change of flavour partway through a chew
Not suited to
- Dogs on a pork-free or beef-free elimination diet
- Older dogs with worn teeth
- Puppies under three months
- Anyone expecting a whole pig ear — this is shaped rind
Safety
Hard chews can fracture teeth. Not for a dog with existing dental damage or a habit of trying to swallow chews whole.
