Beef esophagus is a whole-muscle cut that is naturally higher in the connective-tissue proteins — glucosamine and chondroitin — than plain muscle meat, so it does real work beyond just being a chew. Sits at 3 of 5 on hardness, which is the middle of the range rather than a serious power-chewer product.
What it is
Real beef esophagus, dried flat and preserved with vinegar. Available as a 120g bulk bag, or packs of 25 in Large or Small size. Rates 3 of 5 on the Pets Elite chewyness scale. Sold by weight or unit depending on pack.
Ingredients
Beef (esophagus), vinegar.
Vinegar is used during dehydration as a natural preservative. No grain, no added salt or sugar, no colourants or flavourants.
Feeding and use
Give under supervision, with fresh water alongside. Take it away once it is small enough to swallow whole. Chews and treats should stay under about 10% of what your dog eats in a day.
