Why we stock it
Pork collagen with peanuts through it, and — like the Minties — a natural colourant, which puts it outside the two-ingredient pattern the rest of the range follows. It is hard, at 4 of 5, so it lasts. Contains peanuts, which matters for the small number of dogs that react to them and for anyone in the house with a peanut allergy handling it.
What it is
A hard chew made from pork hide collagen with peanuts, available as sticks or bite-sized pieces. Rates 4 of 5 on the Pets Elite chewiness scale — hard. Contains a natural food colourant.
Ingredients
Pork hide collagen, peanuts, natural food colourant.
This product contains a colourant and peanuts. Most of the Pets Elite range contains neither.
Feeding and use
Give under supervision, with fresh water alongside. Take it away once it is small enough to swallow whole. Chews and treats should stay under about 10% of what your dog eats in a day.
Suited to
- Dogs with strong adult teeth who like peanut flavour
- Medium and large breeds — take the sticks
- Smaller dogs — take the bite size
Not suited to
- Dogs with a peanut allergy
- Anyone avoiding added colourants
- Puppies and dogs with milk teeth
- Older dogs with worn teeth
- Dogs on a pork-free elimination diet
Safety
Contains peanuts. Do not give to a dog with a known peanut allergy, and take care if anyone in the household has a peanut allergy of their own.
