Pets Elite Pig Shells
Why we stock it
This is the cartilage shell from inside the ear, which normally gets lost in the trim. Cartilage is where glucosamine and chondroitin naturally occur, so it is a reasonable thing to give a dog you are thinking about mobility for — though we do not publish a figure, because there is no assay behind one. If joints are the actual reason you are shopping, a measured supplement is the honest answer and this is a nice extra.
What it is
The dried inner cartilage shell of a pig ear, curved and firm. Roughly 380g in a pack of ten. Rates 2 to 3 on the Pets Elite chewyness scale — softer than a bone, firmer than a soft treat.
Ingredients
Pork, vinegar.
Official ingredient line supplied by Pets Elite. Vinegar is used during dehydration as a natural preservative. No grain, no added salt or sugar, no colourants or flavourants.
Feeding and use
Give under supervision, with fresh water alongside. Take it away once it is small enough to swallow whole. Chews and treats should stay under about 10% of what your dog eats in a day.
