Pets Elite Pork Bretzels
Why we stock it
A pork bully stick, essentially, tied into a pretzel so it takes longer to get through. The reason it is in the range is that it is beef-free — most long chews in this category are beef, and dogs who react to beef run out of options fast. No added salt or sugar, unlike the pretzel it is named after. Pizzle has a distinct smell that some people dislike.
What it is
Real pork pizzle, shaped into a pretzel form and dried. Firm and dense. Rates 3 to 4 on the Pets Elite chewyness scale. Available singly or four to a pack. Natural variation in size and colour applies.
Ingredients
Pork, vinegar.
Official ingredient line supplied by Pets Elite. Earlier versions of this listing described the product as pork sinew — that was wrong, and the correction comes from Pets Elite directly. Vinegar is used during dehydration as a natural preservative. No grain, no added salt or sugar, no colourants or flavourants.
Feeding and use
Give under supervision, with fresh water alongside. Take it away once it is small enough to swallow whole. Chews and treats should stay under about 10% of what your dog eats in a day.
