Why we stock it
Tripe is the stomach lining of a grazing animal, and it is the cut raw feeders ask for by name. It carries fermented plant matter from inside the stomach, which is why it behaves differently in the bowl from muscle meat. It is also, reliably, the thing a dog who has refused everything else will eat. Two honest caveats: it smells strongly, and it is a treat, not a balanced meal.
What it is
Green and black herbivore tripe, dried into sticks. 160g a pack. Rates 3 of 5 on the Pets Elite chewyness scale — medium hard. Pets Elite hold it under cold-chain control from abattoir to production floor, which is what protects the naturally occurring enzymes and bacteria that make tripe worth feeding in the first place.
Ingredients
Green and black herbivore tripe (stomach lining), vinegar.
Vinegar is used during dehydration as a natural preservative. No grain, no added salt or sugar, no colourants or flavourants.
Feeding and use
Give as a treat or a topper alongside a balanced diet. Fresh water alongside. Treats should stay under about 10% of daily intake.
